I’ve noticed recently that my face’s skin has become a bit sensitive. Especially on the cheeks. It’s probably because of some of the new products that I’ve been testing out. Like the new skin toner I use as part of my skin care routine. It has alcohol in it that cases some light burning feeling. So I’ve decided to cut that out and look for a new facial wash that can cleanse my face properly. Something good for removing dirt and makeup residue, and doesn’t have a ton of chemicals in its ingredients list.
Clean & Clear ‘Deep Action Cleanser’
I’d say this is a good facial cleanser for sensitive skin types. It’s good in keeping your face clean on a regular basis. Especially if you’re the type of person who wears makeup, then it’s definitely a requirement for you to use some kind of facial cleanser. This Clean & Clear product does a good job at that. I wouldn’t say it’s the best, but it does a good job and I’ll leave it to that. Nothing too remarkable in my experience.
The product handling of this is great. I really liked that they’ve placed a lid at the bottle’s opening to protect its content from contamination. It’s a good idea since some shoppers in supermarkets often open these bottles just to take a sniff at them. It makes me think that Clean & Clear really value the safety and quality of their products.
It’s easy to remove the lid too. Just unscrew the top cap off and peel it.
It’s texture is thick and creamy and fine to lather.
The ingredients doesn’t look sketchy to me and most are quite common to find in other facial cleansers too. Like Stearic Acid which attracts dirt and oils in the process of cleaning and allows them to be rinsed off. And Myristic Acid that helps hydrate and moisturize the skin and helps give it a youthful appearance.
Other Observations
- No burning sensation or minty feeling when applied to skin
- safe for sensitive skin
- fresh feeling after use but doesn’t last too long
- smells amply good but not overpowering
- easy to rinse off
- it doesn’t leave your skin dry
- provides a good amount of moisture after use
Rice Extract Oil
It has rice extracts that acts as a natural moisturizer and provides nutrients. It’s not anti-ageing but supports the regeneration of skin.
The bottle says it “controls oil and prevents shine for up to 8 hours”, I don’t think the same can be said to me. 8 hours is quite a stretch in my experience. I usually start feeling some oil on my face about after an hour of using this. Then my skin goes back to its regular oiled condition in about 3.5 hours.
Price and where to buy
I purchased a 100g bottle of Clean & Clear Deep Action Cleanser for Php 193 at Shopwise. A bottle that big lasted for a month for me as I used it to wash my face twice a day.
I believe it’s also available at other beauty stores or pharmacies like Watsons. A smaller 50g bottle is also available for Php 71.50, perfect for those who just wants to try it out.
