“You got the job!” is the the four-word sentence that brought tears of joy to Kelsey Merritt. She will be the first Filipino-American to join the catwalk for Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2018.
For a model to be part of this event is a big deal. Victoria’s Secret annually hosts an extravagant fashion show with it’s famous group of elite models called “Angels” and Kelsey Merritt will be working along with them. It is estimated 800 million people tune-in in this well anticipated event. To be chosen to walk down the run-way for Victoria’s Secret is not only a major boost for career but it’s also like winning the Miss Universe title. Literally thousands of beautiful models dream to be part of it and only a handful make it.
Just like in beauty pageants, the other models are from different nationalities and ethnicity. They will be travelling together and will be treated as VIP’s wherever they go. But being part of this is not just about looks. It’s also about professionalism and being beautiful on the inside as well.
